Ferrous Scrap Processes
H.J.Hansen annually trades and processes approximately 700.000 tons of ferrous scrap. In every aspect of the business, H.J.Hansen strives to deliver materials of the highest quality and at the right time, in order to satisfy our customers and maintain our worldwide reputation. Our sales philosophy is based on close, long-term cooperation with our customers.
The H.J.Hansen Recycling Group also comprises an International trading division. This division is separated from the main company, under the name H.J.Hansen International.
Sales of ferrous scrap products are on a world-wide scale. The sales organisation is well supported by H.J.Hansen offices and agents around the world. Sales are done in vessels as well as in containers.
Shredded properties
Our shredded properties are of a very high quality, with high density and low impurity. We have four hand-pickers to sort out pickable Cu and other impurities.
ISRI 211
The minimum density of our shredded steel scrap is 70 lbs/cu.ft. Pickable Cu is max. 0.11 % and Maximum impurity is 0.75 %.
ISRI 212
Minimum density is 60 lbs/cu.ft. Material is from new production.
Bushelings
Bushelings according to ISRI 207 – new thin production steel. No impurities.
HMS
Our HMS1 is classified according to ISRI 200, 201 and 202.
Maximum impurity is 1.0 %
Our HMS2 is classified according to ISRI 203, 204, 205 and 206.
Maximum impurity is 1.0 %
Bonus grade consists of new heavy steel scrap:
Thickness: minimum 4 mm - Size: maximum 500 x 1500 mm
Reroll/reuse
The reroll/reuse products are sold in the Far East markets. The range of reroll/reuse products includes:
- Skeletons
- Rails
- Plates and plate cuttings
- Coil slittings
- Bars
Others
In addition to the above, H.J.Hansen also offers a range of other products, such as:
- Turnings
- Wirers
- Tire wirer
- Stamps, etc.
