H.J.Hansen annually trades and processes approximately 700.000 tons of ferrous scrap. In every aspect of the business, H.J.Hansen strives to deliver materials of the highest quality and at the right time, in order to satisfy our customers and maintain our worldwide reputation. H.J.Hansen collects and processes approximately 70.000 tons of non-ferrous scrap per year. Experienced and well-trained employees sort and grade non-ferrous qualities to international standards or customer specifications.

H.J.Hansen Elektromiljø has been active in the collection and processing of WEEE (Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment) – from industry and local authorities since 1995. During this period, extensive expertise has been accumulated in the environmental and economic aspects of WEEE processing. Recovery rates and environmental impacts are continually being improved through on-going development work. New targets are set each year as part of the annual environmental performance reporting to comply with EMAS registration.

Plastic: WEEE processing generates large amounts of plastics that are recycled. Plastics separated from the shredding of End of Life Vehicles (ELV) are also recycled. We are also dealing with plastic scrap from new production.

H.J.Hansen Nedbrydning (demolition) is called on where there are high demands on environmental, efficiency and recycling standards. We are highly competent, with many years of experience behind us, and can tackle all types of demolition, from large-scale, complex tasks to smaller demolition and site clearance. We are also involved in the demolition and recycling of offshore constructions and recycling of windmills.

It is rare to find companies that can effectively deal with the task of handling the flow of waste from automobiles throughout their life cycle (LCA). H.J.Hansen Recycling and its sister company, Car Dismantling Denmark, have built up a network of professional repair shops, dealerships and dismantlers. They work with H.J.Hansen to guarantee the community and the individual automobile owner reliable, competent handling of the flow of waste with focus on optimising recycling.
