Food Testing Accreditation
ISO/IEC 17025:2005 is an international standard recognized globally. Global Food Safety Initiatives (GFSI) Programs have substantively progressed requiring producers to ensure internal or external laboratories testing their product are ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accredited. The FDA and USDA have also embraced ISO/IEC 17025:2005 as a well-recognized standard. PJLA offers ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation to food testing laboratories. This requires a full system assessment of the laboratory’s quality management system and technical requirements. PJLA utilizes recognized national and international accreditation criteria such as: The AOAC International Guidelines for Laboratories Performing Microbiological and Chemical Analyses of Food and Pharmaceutical-2010 and APLAC TC 007 Guidelines for Food Testing Laboratories to ensure laboratories performance levels are within the market accepted limits.
