From Collection To Dismantling To Recycling Services
In addition to our fridge recycling unit, we have build up pre-processing of TV sets and monitors in Grevenbroich as well. Key aspects of this pre-processing unit are the removal of hazardous wastes and retrieval of valuable substances by means of manual dismantling.
The pre-processing unit is complemented by a CRT separation unit with an annual capacity of 13,000 tons. Both units working in unison comply with the recycling quota for display systems as defined by ElektroG-collection subgroup 3a.
As for collection groups 3b and 5 (meaning information technology and consumer electronics other than display systems as well as electronic toys, small domestic appliances, power tools etc.) we have only recently committed a modern recycling unit to service. For this very complex and diverse input material we designed a new system for shredding and sorting completely from scratch, giving us the ability to retain secondary raw materials with a very high grade of purity. This unit was designed for a throughput of 27,000 tons per year while at the same time fulfilling all recycling quotas set forth by the WEEE directive.
Our service for producers and retailers - dismantling and recycling in one hand!
All pre-processed material fractions are first subjected to a dry-mechanical separation, followed by being processed into raw material substrates, leaving neither waste water nor exhausts in the wake of this processing. Hazardous and any other, non-usable substances are then retrieved and properly disposed of.
Any re-usable parts such as memory modules or processors are deliberately dismantled in accordance with our customers` specifications. High-graded metal batches can be further processed by down-stream facilities without any need for further treatment. Cleanly sorted plastics batches as well as the glass retrieved from CRTs are subjected to a substantial recovery, with especially the latter being a highly demanded secondary raw material for the glass industry.
