Safety remains a priority at Fluor.

Fluor continued to sustain a strong safety record in 2011.

Our office and field performance (representing both self-perform and subcontractors) experienced 0.05 lost workday incidents per 200,000 global hours worked, an uptick from 2010, but performed within our goals for both total recordable case incidence rate and restricted workday case rate.

In 2011, our Global Information Management System became the mandated reporting system for tracking and trending all types of incidents, from first aid cases and near misses to fatalities and motor-vehicle accidents. Full utilization of this system has resulted in more timely and accurate reporting, while allowing for customized training initiatives based on data results to better track incidents, trend issues and train employees and subcontractors.
