Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP)
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) now requires Licensed Site Remediation Professionals (LSRPs) to provide oversight for environmental investigations and cleanups required under the NJDEP Site Remediation Program. ESI has LSRPs on staff to provide these services. ESI`s major growth began at the same time the NJDEP instituted its Environmental Cleanup Responsibility Act (ECRA) program (the predecessor of the Industrial Site Recovery Act [ISRA]), which required property cleanups prior to business and real estate transactions. The basic services provided in our early years focused on assessing sites for suspect areas of concern (AOCs), investigating contaminated AOCs, developing clean-up plans, and implementing cost-effective remedial approaches.
As a result, we have established close relationships with many key personnel at the NJDEP and developed a clear understanding of both formal regulatory requirements as well as informal Department practice. We believe that our many years of environmental consulting experience, and our proven record of accomplishment in successfully guiding clients through the regulatory process, sets our firm apart.
We are confident that our past and current experience with the NJDEP allows our LSRPs the ability to comply with the mandates for the LSRP program while still acting as an advocate for our clients. ESI has experience in both working as the consultant and LSRP as well as solely providing clients with LSRP oversight.
