RDS solutions are the world’s most effective and safest solution for radiation decontamination of radioactive surfaces including human skin. Our solutions, developed by a combination of nuclear pharmacists, nuclear chemists, radiation experts and NASA consultants with many years of experience in the nuclear and medical device industry succeeded in the goal to develop a formula that would safely and significantly remove radioactive material from human skin and on other surfaces in the event of a nuclear event.
Until our scientists developed the RDS solutions, there was no scientific or high-tech way of performing radiation decontamination of all radioactive elements. Our solutions provide a cost effective method of preparing for and combating any type of nuclear disaster including a terrorist “dirty bomb” attack, an accident or maintenance at a nuclear power plant, or a nuclear weapon detonation. Our patent-pending solutions are revolutionizing the nuclear industry. RDS products have been shown in laboratory testing and in real world applications to significantly and safely remove radioactive material. The products perform to levels that scientists refer to as “high decontamination factors”. This means that, in many cases, almost all of the radioactive material can be removed using our products.
Our products are currently in use to remove radioactive material in many nuclear power plants, in nuclear waste facilities and in hospitals with nuclear medicine departments throughout the United States and abroad.
Our core technology is called the “Mass Effect” influence. By flooding any radioactive surface with our proprietary solutions, the radioactive material is lifted off the surface and suspended in solution where it can be easily wiped up and removed as radioactive waste. Each of our solutions is specially prepared to address a specific chemical group, they are ion-specific. Our Halogen Mass Effect solution will pick up all Halogens such as Iodine, Fluorine, Chlorine, etc. Our Transition Metal Mass Effect solution will pick up all Transition Metals such as Cesium, Cobalt, Strontium, Thallium, etc. Our Actinide Mass Effect solution will pick up all Actinide Metals such as Plutonium, Uranium, Technetium, Americium, Radium, etc. We have developed these solutions to make them user friendly and provide the most effective decontamination possible. Just spray on and wipe off. The solutions are water based and environmentally friendly.
RDS’ patent-pending solutions are revolutionary because they act to dislocate or “lift” radioactive ions from most non-porous surfaces into the water-based solutions. Our “Rad-Wipes” clean the surface and the radioactive material is transferred onto the wipes for rad-waste disposal.
