DuraThermMobile Services

SHARE

The mobile DuraTherm DesorptionSM service is based on the same principles as the fixed-base system operated at DuraTherm’s RCRA-permitted facility in Texas City (formerly San Leon). The mobile indirect fired thermal desorption systems recover oil, including synthetic oils, from drill cuttings and drilling fluids; they are also capable of treating hydrocarbon-contaminated materials to US EPA RCRA standards. The process produces a clean, dry solid that meets or exceeds regulatory requirements for contaminants and is sometimes suitable as backfill material. DuraTherm mobile desorption components fit on three trailers, run on a variety of fuels, and can be assembled and operating at a typical treatment and recovery or remediation site in less than 48 hours.

DuraTherm has vast experience in processing a variety of wastes, and our mobile thermal desorption services can be customized, both in the US and abroad, to meet the challenges of each customer and each site.  Mobile DuraTherm Desorption is applicable where the recovery of hydrocarbons or the treatment of residuals by removing hydrocarbons is your project goal.

The volume of waste to be treated, the composition of the waste, and the specifications for the separated components must be provided by the customer in order to determine the applicability of DuraTherm’s mobile services.  If the customer cannot supply this information, DuraTherm can support site survey, sample collection, and analysis.  From this data, process parameters and a project cost estimate can be completed.  DuraTherm can also assist in project needs, such as developing a site-specific health and safety plan and securing regulatory permits.
