RDC - MyData 2 – Client Interface Portal Services
RDC clients want an easy to use window into our operational activities and so we provide a web based portal as our primary interface. This portal can be used for; quotations for non contracted services, collection requests, transfer requests, consignment status information, invoice copies and the provision of reporting. This portal gives client instant access to live data whenever it is required and greatly simplifies the interaction with RDC.
In summary, the buyers and routes to market RDC has developed enable equipment to be sold quickly, responding to constant changes in the market place. Combined with experience, available market channels and capability to maximise return, RDC is able to deliver consistent returns on a continual basis.
Remarketing Profit Share
The profit share service starts with the receipt of an asset list or inventory from a client with details of the equipment specification, quantities and location. A forecast of resale values is provided in advance. On arrival at RDC, equipment is subject to core technical processing tasks to determine the resale value of equipment. These core tasks include electrical safety (PAT) testing, testing the functionality of the equipment, data wiping using approved software and cosmetic grading and assessment. Successfully processed equipment is then sold through RDC’s established remarketing channels. RDC report monthly values achieved from the resale of equipment.
Product is sold by item, pallet or container to individuals through the web or employee purchase schemes, computer traders, maintenance companies, international brokers, charities and social enterprises. It is through these mixed channels RDC is able to maximise residual return and guarantee sale within a fixed time period without the inherent risk of underselling or devaluing the product. The entire web site is linked electronically to our internal asset management system providing automated interfaces and reporting capability. The web systems that we operate are transparent and we are not reliant to any degree on a select few buyers.
RDC publish a monthly resale and buyback market price guide, available on request, detailing current resale values being achieved for the most common specifications and types of equipment.
Buyback
The buyback solution is focussed on generating best in market values from used equipment whilst delivering clients data protection and environmental regulatory compliance and demonstrable sustainability & corporate social responsibility. Equipment which meets the functional and cosmetic requirements will be purchased based on an agreed value in advance inclusive of all costs subject to functionality and condition at time of processing.
The buyback service is designed for refresh projects where equipment has been identified for replacement across known locations and within an agreed time frame. Buyback is designed to deliver a cost positive and value added solution, maximising residual return by providing up front purchase values.
Starting with receipt of an asset list or inventory from a client with details of the specification and quantities, a buyback quotation will be issued detailing the purchase price of each item in advance. On arrival at RDC, equipment is subject to core technical processing tasks to determine the final purchase price of equipment. These core tasks include electrical safety (PAT) testing, testing the functionality of the equipment, data wiping using approved software and cosmetic grading and assessment. Successfully processed equipment is then sold through RDC’s established remarketing channels. RDC report the condition of each item and final purchase price.
The buyback service allows organisations to identify the budget across a range of equipment and over a given time scale.
