Noise Protection - Noise Reduction
It is widely recognized that noise emissions produce negative health effects. Therefore, noise emissions need to be reduced effectively. In industrial plants, numerous sources of noise exist which contribute to the total noise emission which is clearly unwanted by production personnel and by the neighborhood. The total noise emission of an industrial installation can be drawn back to single sound sources, such as fans, conveyors, compressors and last but not least to the gas cleaning equipment, such as bag filters, precipitators, scrubbers and others.
As suppliers of the above mentioned technical equipment we are also competent partners in all questions of noise reduction.
With our specialized measuring equipment and software tool, we are able to support our clients by evaluating the existing noise level, determine a forecast of noise levels after installation of new sound sources and design the appropriate noise mitigation methods.
The noise calculation software Cadna A (Computer Aided Noise Abatement) is used for noise predic-tion and noise mapping. As examples, maps of noise levels are given in the following pictures. Picture A shows the distribution of noise levels around an industrial fan with no means for noise reduction. The simulation result on Picture B shows the reduction of the noise levels if a noise protection wall would be installed.
