Oily sand waste is generated as a result of crude oil transportation/storage in:
- Oil tank bottoms
- Oily lagoons
Harsco offers a service which treats the material through an ultra-high pressure water treatment technology.
After processing the material through the high-pressure water process, the oil is recovered, and clean sand residue is recycled.
