Sadly, this data can remain intact even after disposal !SITR guarantee that this will never occur.To give you absolute peace of mind, when these various devices require disposal, SITR has the solution. We offer both onsite and offsite data destruction services. We use mobile shredders, CESG approved data wiping software and CESG approved degaussing systems. All your data carrying devices are dealt with securely and they are recycled whenever humanly possible.
CESG approved data wiping of your hard drives is carried out either onsite, or offsite by one of our many trained technicians, using Ontrack® Eraser software, to erase all traces of information stored on the media device, rendering recovery of data impossible after disposal.

This is done by using a very advance software package that overwrites the existing software, rendering the information destroyed, but the hard drive recyclable. Ontrack® Eraser is the software, and is the most efficient data erasure solution on the market. It makes data erasure flexible, fast, secure and cost-efficient. Ontrack® Eraser can be run from Windows® and Linux® environments and can operate over networks or on individual PCs.
Hard drives that we cannot re-use
The unit of magnetic field strength is the Gauss (G).
Generating a peak field of 18,500 gauss, the de-gausser machine cost-effectively renders media 100 per cent wiped in a matter of seconds. This powerful electromagnetic field overcomes the varying Oersted levels of differing magnetic media and their manufacturer`s recommended gauss levels, guaranteeing complete destruction of the data and drive.
A further process of shredding can also be applied to the hard drives if required using one of our on-site shredding trucks.

For clients with, for example, their own I.T. department, who might want to change a hard drive on the system, Secure IT can supply you with lockable containers for the storage of these drives, backup tapes or other data sensitive devices. These are emptied to a pre-determined schedule and shredded onsite at your convenience
