Viasat - Operations Center Services
Viasat uses own avails itself of its infrastructures for the alarm and intervention services mangement in regards to the safety of the vehicle, the goods carried, and the driver. Such infrastructures are based on 5 company-owned Operations Centers (Turin, Rome, Bucharest, Warsaw and Bruxelles) and a Security Institute (L’Aquila), with workload balancing and recovery logic when necessary, with over 100 operators guarantee service management 24 hours a day all year long.
The Viasat Operations Center is able to track the device and always locate the car and the person in difficulty, wherever they are, thanks to the GPS signal and GSM/GPRS communication.
In order to handle law enforcement intervention in case of theft, robbery, panic, and medical/mechanical emergency, Viasat avails itself of the Surveillance Institute Society, which has a prefectorial license covering the entire national territory (ref. No. 11/20076199) for Satellite Telesurveillance (G.P.G. - Guardie Particolari Giurate, Special Sworn Security Guards).
Viasat Centers are organized so as to provide services such as:

Viasat has a network of over 1100 specialized installers (Viasat Assistance) - 150 of which have a TUV ISO 9001:2000 Quality Certification – which, besides taking care of the on-board device installation, will provide the company with assistance and after-sales maintenance as well as a tutorial session on the use of th system .
