OS8000 Real time flow monitoring
OnSite is proud to announce the launch of the OS8000 real time flow monitoring system. The ATEX certified meter has the ability to upload data to a web site at regular intervals (anything from a month to 5 minutes). The key benefit of the monitor is that it utilises low-cost redundant sensors (two pressure transducers, two velocity transducers, and a float switch), significantly improving data accuracy and return.
Sensor redundancy also provides the benefit of an exception mode maintenance model. Currently our short-term flow survey crews visit each monitor location site on a weekly basis to download data and clean sensors, as required under our current framework contracts with UK Water Companies. This new technology allows us to keep these visits to an absolute minimum, not only allowing us to offer the service at a competitive price, but also helping us to reduce our carbon footprint by limiting the requirement to send vehicles to site each week. This also brings additional benefits with regard to Health and Safety, by significantly reducing the number of confined space entries.
- ATEX certified OS8000 web enabled flow monitor
- Twin pressure and twin velocity transducers plus the option of a digital float switch significantly improving data accuracy and return
- No site visits to download data
- Sensor redundancy allowing exception mode maintenance reducing the requirement for regular site visits
- In built, ultra reliable GPRS system for data upload and system alarms
- Ability to upload data wirelessly to the OnSite Live platform at intervals ranging from every 5 minutes to once every month
- Up to 2 years battery life dependent on selected upload frequency
Survey units
Our Flow Survey vehicles are purpose built and are replaced every 4 years ensuring reliability of service to our clients. All onboard equipment is powered by the vehicle engine. Other than surveying equipment, every survey unit carries a wide range of essential Health & Safety equipment for safe confined space entry.
