Post Remediation Verification Testing

SHARE
This type of inspection includes our end of project report that provides our client with a document outlining the present conditions at the time of the assessment. Passing a Post Remediation Verification test, also known as a Clearance Test, provides you with the necessary documentation that the building has been returned to a normal indoor environmental quality. This is critical to any future real estate transactions as any transfer of title and listing requires a full disclosure of any water or mold damage that may have occurred to your property to the best of your knowledge. By presenting this document, you are acknowledging that an event has occurred and has been repaired properly.

Anytime your home or office is affected by a moisture or mold related event, some type of cleanup will be required.  For minor problems, simple clean-up is all that is needed; however, for major events extensive remediation efforts must be conducted prior to repairs to ensure that no continuing or long term building health issues remain. IET can conduct a Post Remediation Verification (PRV; aka clearance test) after remediation has been performed but before reconstruction begins. This allows IET to verify that all contaminated materials have been removed from the home and that remediation has been effective, returning indoor mold levels to acceptable parameters.

By analyzing the samples in our in-house lab, we can often provide a verbal clearance within hours of the evaluation without having to wait several days.  Third party lab analysis is also available when necessary for legal and insurance purposes.
