Building Science
Building Pressure Analysis: When the air inside a building is under negative pressure relative to the outside air, many indoor environmental problems can develop or worsen, especially in a hot/humid climate. Affected areas can range from localized areas of building cavities (in exterior walls or ceilings) to excessive humidity throughout the building affecting all materials and occupants. Excessive negative pressure is often related to HVAC system design, installation or maintenance problems. Indoor Environmental Technologies` specialized equipment and experience allow us to locate the source of building pressure issues and develop recommendations for correcting them.
Mold Testing and Mold Inspections
Florida is known for its hot, humid and rainy climate. These conditions produce extreme stress on buildings, making them more susceptible to moisture intrusion problems than anywhere else in the country. Chinese Drywall Investigations
Since 2007, IET been involved with the Chinese or Corrosive drywall issue with testing and consulting on numerous projects and legal cases. Although the issues surrounding this can be difficult to define, IET has established itself as a leader in the evaluation and consulting field by adhering to accepted State of Florida and Federal guidelines and through long standing relationships with excellent laboratories around the country. Since not all Chinese drywall has corrosive characteristics associated with it, we can help to determine the specific material present in a building.
