Ramky - Hazardous Waste Management Services

Ramky set up India`s first integrated industrial hazardous waste management facility at Hyderabad. Today, with 12 operational facilities, the Company handles in excess of a million tonnes of hazardous waste annually. The hazardous waste facilities of Ramky are in line with international guidelines – they sport double composite liner landfills with leachate collection arrangement following USEPA`s RCRA Subtitle C requirements for landfills. Waste received at these facilities is disposed off by three modes – direct land filling, stabilization of waste followed by land filling or by direct scientific landfilling. All these facilities are in compliance with the rules and guidelines laid down by the Central Pollution Control Board and the Ministry of Environment and Forests, New Delhi. Ramky operates hazardous waste incinerators at Taloja, Hyderabad, Haldia, Vizag, Indore and Chennai. These facilities are on par with the world`s best practice.
