HDPE- High density polyethylene has blue, yellow tipped flame, burns slowly, plastic drips. Smells like candle wax (paraffin), very soft and oily has no soot, density 0,91-0,92 g\cm3 LDPE- Law density polyethylene more firm and dense than HDPE, fragile. Burns like HDPE, density 0,94-0,95 g\cm3

PP Polypropylene. Burning PP has blue, yellow tipped flame, like HDPE, with sweet odor, plastic drips. Melted PP is transparent, cooled dawn plastic gets muddy, becomes firmer than HDPE, smoke smells like burnt rubber, sealing wax.

Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) Strong, firm and light material. Density is 1, 36 g\cm3. It is heatproof between -40 +200 degrees temperatures. PET is resistant to dilute acids, oil, spirits, inorganic salts and most of organic compounds. Burns slowly with smoky flame.

Polystyrene (PS) PS plastic strips can be easily bended, but sharply breaks with typical crackle, it has strong yellow, flame and sweet flowery odor. It is well dissolved in organic solvents like sterol, acetone and benzene.

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) expansible, fire-resistant, has strong smoke while burning and very sharp smoke odor. Density 1,38-1,45 g/ cm3

Recycling business technology consists of three stages:

Crushing

Washing and drying

Agglomeration or granulation

First stage – is crushing of plastic waste into small particles 10-30 mm

Second stage is washing and drying of crushed polymers, it is one of the most important stages, as quality of washed material depends on the quality of final product.

The process of washing and drying is as follows: Initial ground flakes (a) are ingested from a shredder by prewashing unit (1) where passing on gauzy cylinders of the aggregates precleaning of contamination is carried out, thus pollution is allocated in the tank for the contaminations (2) on the bottom of the aggregate. According to degree of contamination cleaner can be added into the 1 section of the tank (4). Then material is forced delivered to the washing unit (3), where it is subjected to intensive washing. Further, by means of activator (c) and through piping (d) the material is fed to geared motor separators after that to the intensive cleaning (e) turbulent separators where water is removed, following which, being forced through outlet pipe(f), washed and cleaned material comes to the drying unit (5). While going through turbulent gravitational separators (g) it is subjected to active drying up, after that clean and dry material is fed to the collection hopper of the extruder, sintering machine or through discharge cyclone (6) to the big bag

The next stage is agglomeration is gathering small plastic particles into a mass . Chunk can be sold as ready raw material or it can be granulated.

The aim of granulation process is getting of more homogeneous, more pure material. Granulated material is more expensive than chunk.
