Waste management, including recycling and valorisation, is becoming a more and more interesting market. Nowadays, the key factors are not only the collection and the sorting of the wastes but also a better management of their valorisation at an industrial scale.

Certech is working with different industrial partners and has developped several pilots to find out alternatives which are economically sustainable. Various fields have been investigated including:
- The characterisation of wastes for a better understanding of how to recycle and valorise them efficiently
- The valorisation of materials (formulation and process, properties of recycled materials, recycling of metals)
- The transformation of wastes into hydrocarbons to access to “recycled energy”
In addition to private research contracts, Certech is involved as leader or partner in public projects focused on the valorisation of recycled materials or waste (Technopoly, RECYPOLYMER, REVADEC II, RARETE, PHOENIX).
