Sustainable Products-Emissions Service from Materials

Plastics, solvents, synthetic or natural products involved in the following end-use application of modern life: Building (floor and wall coverings, paints, varnishes, sealants, glues, insulation materials, furniture...). Transport (seats, dashboards, roof stuffing...). Packaging are of increasing complexity involving many additives which may emit volatile and/or odorous compounds. These chemicals may have negative effects on the well-being (undesirable smells) and health (allergies, eyes and throat irritations, headaches...) of the people exposed.

Recycling Service

Waste management, including recycling and valorisation, is becoming a more and more interesting market. Nowadays, the key factors are not only the collection and the sorting of the wastes but also a better management of their valorisation at an industrial scale.

Contract Research

Our R&D activities are of three types: Contract research are financed by private companies and organisations. Certech can also help companies to find grants and financial support from public organisations. Public research: R&D projects funded by public authorities. They are generally executed in partnership (other research centers, universities, industries) Proprietary research: self-funded products/process development projects to improve the IP portfolio. Certech has created in 2005 a spin-off - VALORE SA - to develop and produce products based on some of Certech-owned technologies. This independent company produces and commercialises specific compounds or additives. It is as well a technical and commercial development tool for Certech customers.

Analyses Services

This activity mainly includes problem solving, analyses and consultancy. These are short-term studies where good problem identification and a quick solution are critical. Certech strategy is to focus on high intellectual value-added services, i.e.activities requiring the interpretation of measurements by specialists who combine instrumental expertise with a deep knowledge and understanding of the customer activity. Certech works with more than 250 customers each year and has access to a large number of sophisticated instruments.

Training and Meetings Services

On regular basis, Certech provides training courses for professionals in its fields of expertise. It also offers opportunities for internships and doctoral research studentship (PhD), giving to students a first experience in R&D project management and execution. On many occasions, Certech has  been an opportunitiy for young graduates to get their first full-time job. The diversity and the quality standards of Certech`s R&D programs have given  them an extremely valuable experience for their professional career.
