Regulatory Coordination, Compliance & Permitting
CATLIN personnel regularly interact with State and Federal environmental regulatory agencies throughout the Southeast, but most frequently with EPA Region IV, NCDENR and the GA EPD due to the high volume of projects that we have in progress in these areas.
Our engineers, geologists and scientists routinely coordinate with regulators to ensure that our clients and sites are in regulatory compliance. We have established relationships with regulators throughout the Southeast and also assist with the development of environmental regulations and policies. CATLIN’s president, Mr. Richard G. Catlin, was previously appointed by the Governor to serve on the NC UST Council and also chaired the Joint Committee on Environmental Practice by Professional Engineers and Licensed Geologists in North Carolina. The committee was instrumental in formulating and recommending modifications to the North Carolina Groundwater Quality Standards. Mr. Catlin also provided input to the former North Carolina Department of Environmental Management (DEM) and the GA EPD during the development and implementation of UST regulations and was invited by the DEM to participate in policy making efforts as related to the NCAC, Subchapter 2L Groundwater Standards.
CATLIN also has extensive experience in preparing applications for Local, State and Federal agencies. Permit applications routinely prepared by our team include:
