The company was formed as Ground Test, a division of piling contractor Frankipile, in 1963 by the late Don Douglas and specialised in geotechnical engineering and site investigations. In 1983 senior staff bought the company and formed Douglas Partners as a geotechnical, environmental and groundwater consultancy.

The records, equipment and personnel were retained by the new company, which now operates Ground Test as a subsidiary for drilling and sampling.

Today Douglas Partners comprises a team of highly skilled engineers, engineering geologists, hydrogeologists, geophysicists, scientists, technicians and support staff.

Our database contains over seventy thousand completed project records readily accessible through our company’s computer network.
