- 275 gallon Roth Safety Tank Installations - ANCO is a stocking distributor of Roth`s double-walled corrosion-proof aboveground residential oil tank. The tank is provided with a 10-year, $1M environmental liability warrantee. The tank is lightweight and low-cost. Another option is a single-walled tank, like the Highland Toughtank.
- Up to 5 tanks can be easily interconnected.
- 100% financing, with 0% interest if paid within one year. Tank removal and/or cleanup financing is also available.
- Eliminate underground tank concerns thus facilitating smoother property transactions.
ANCO`s Tank Certification Program:
ANCO offers a comprehensive oil tank inspection and testing program that provides environmental liability assessment of underground storage tank systems (USTs). Test methodology includes collecting four bored soil samples from approximately 0-6` deeper than the tank, then screening them for Petroleum Hydrocarbons. One sample is then sent to a certified laboratory for quantitative analysis. This confirms the presence or lack of contamination. Finally, we test the contents of the tank for water. The dimensions, layout and capacity of the tank are then presented in report format along with certification of findings.
Our test methods are effective in identifying soil contamination resulting from a leaking UST, surface spill, or previously removed leaking tank system. The tank does not have to be filled with oil. Our test method is applicable to active (in use) tank systems, previously closed tank systems, and in conjunction with in-place tank closures.
Certification language is clear and definitive. Soil sample results are compared to state standards and a conclusion is drawn as to whether a discharge has occurred. In cases where there is no evidence of a discharge, ANCO issues a `No Evidence of Contamination` certificate.
Finally for active USTs returning with `No Evidence of Contamination,` tank insurance is readily available through an affiliate fuel oil dealer, protecting the property owner against future leaks.
Program Components:
- Magnetometric Detection and tank location services explore all leads that point to the past or present existence of an underground oil tank. Unknown piping, sinkholes in the lawn, oily odor in the basement or crawl space, or presence of copper piping are all investigated.
- Percussion rods are driven into the surrounding soil to verify length, capacity, and direction of the tank.
- Hand Augered Samples are collected from around an underground tank, and is a more accurate method of evaluation liability than volumetric or pressure testing. Soils are continuously checked down to a 6`-7` depth for odor and staining. This test method will reveal the presence of soil contamination from a current leaking tank, leaking piping, overspills, and past leaks.
- Soil Samples collected from 0-6` deeper than the tank via the hand auger technique are sealed in Teflon-lidded containers and stored in an ice chest. A sample location map is generated at the time of the sample collection. For active or inactive tanks, water paste is used to detect the presence of unwanted water in the tank
- Formal Analysis is performed according to state guidelines using accepted EPA methodology, providing quantitative certifiable results for field test positive for petroleum hydrocarbons.
- The Certified laboratory Report quantifies the degree of contamination and documents the evidence in a report which is then incorporated into ANCO`s certification.
- No Evidence of Contamination Certificate is issue with ANCO documenting in clear language, certifiable proof that there is no evidence of petroleum contamination in the sample collected.
Tank Removal or Closure:
- ANCO has removed or closed over 12,000 tanks since 1981.
- Turn-key service is not reliant upon third party subcontractor.
- Reusable oil is purchased.
- Tank (excavation) is filled with gravel.
- Site regraded upon completion - surface restoration capabilities (i.e. concrete).
- If tank has leaked, up to 100% financing through third party programs.
