Harsco’s Resource Recovery solutions extract the full value of the metal inside by-products, and find external markets for onward selling of residual material. Our processes convert by-products from environmental liabilities to assets.

Our solutions fall into two broad categories:

• Waste-to-Energy: converting steelmaking flue gas into ethanol fuel
• Waste-to-Commodity: processing waste material from metal production (tailings, slag, dust, sludge or millscale) into commodities that can either be recycled back into metal production as raw materials or sold on to third parties as new applications.
