Once water has reached different populations, water is distributed through a web of pipes of different size or diameter (diameter 450-800 mm), so each point receives the agreed delivery in sufficient quantity and pressure.
This phase is one of the most important within the Integrated Water Cycle. Global Omnium currently enables more than 3 million users of four autonomous communities to enjoy more than 200 hm3 of quality drinking water per year in their homes.
Once water has reached different populations, it is necessary to take it from wells or large pipes to the inputs of houses and industries in cities and municipalities. These pipes that allow drinking water reaching every home is called water supply connection.
Why is this stage so important ? Because at this stage we deal directly with users. Therefore, maintenance of the distribution network in optimum operating conditions is the daily challenge of Global Omnium. It is so that, today, Global Omnium has more than 376.000 water supply connections and 18,700 kilometers of pipeline, designed to carry water of the highest quality to households in the areas served.
