Secure Data Destruction Services

CompuCycle uses two methods of data erasure:

1. Data Sanitization: Using Department of Defense Compliant Software 5220.22-M we administer a three-pass wipe of data erasure on the hard drives that can be reused. This software provides a report listing all pertinent information including hard drive and unit serial numbers and whether the drive passed or failed the wipe. If any of the drives fail this wipe for any reason they are immediately shredded.
2. Data Destruction: Physical destruction of the drives using industrial strength shredding machines. Hard drives are shredded at customers site using our mobile shredder or at CompuCycle’s facility with our Komar shredding machine.

CompuCycle is vigilant in the removal of all data from the materials processed in our warehouse and we invite our clients to visit our facility to see first-hand the procedures we follow in destroying information.

Our data destruction methods comply with Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, and Gramm-Leach Bliley.
