The Return on Sustainability (RoS) Scorecard is a tool which includes key performance metrics. The design of a Sustainability Scorecard aims to develop a common Sustainability framework, for the company as a single working entity, composed of an overall Sustainability Policy & Strategy, which will work as a map for the overall Sustainability performance of all business units.

The Return on Sustainability Scorecard :

  • Identify the leading metrics (goals) for defining the Sustainability business case and measure direct and indirect return on investment
  • Identify and assess the already drafted and implemented Sustainability policies
  • Determine how well those Sustainability policies align with the overall corporate strategy of the organization,
  • Conclude how well the overall organizational Sustainability strategy & policy are communicated as “downward procedures” without any gaps in the cascading process
  • Assign any key indicators based on Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) criteria and international or additional guidelines (e.g. GRI)

The objective of the scorecard is to support Sustainability integration. At the same time, this tool illustrates what the organization intends to achieve and what it has thus far achieved, based on its goals.
