Trium - Bioremediation Technology
Bioremediation involves the application of biological amendments or microbes to remediate soil and groundwater. It is an ecofriendly and often cost efficient remediation technology. The optimization of microbial populations to ensure effective remediation requires the integration of scientific and engineering solutions.
Through Trium’s feasibility and remediation design capabilities, clients can leverage our expertise and experience to determine the effectiveness of various bioremediation solutions.
BIOSTIMULATION
Biostimulation involves stimulatating existing bacteria that are capable of bioremediation and are already adapted to the site conditions. This can be done by adding or adjusting various conditions and rate limiting aspects such as phosphorus, nitrogen, oxygen, or carbon.
BIOAUGMENTATION
Bioaugmentation involves the introduction of a consortium of natural occuring or specialized microbial strains to enhance treatment of contaminated soil or water. This is typically considered when native microbes are unable to treat the contaminants and is also done with support of Biostimulation.
