Preliminary & Detailed UXO Risk Assessments
A UXO Risk Assessment is the process of reviewing and accessing the risk of potentially encountering items of explosive ordnance during the ground investigation stage – and should be considered for both shallow and deep intrusive projects (on land or marine projects).
UXO Risk Assessments take into consideration not only the historic risk of contamination in an area, but also factors such as the scope of the proposed works, geology, burial depth, water depth and risk / consequences of detonation.
Usually undertaken at the very start of a project and prior to intrusive ground works, our bespoke and non-automated desktop study reports will highlight any potential risk factors on your project.
All relevant sources of information will be accessed, analysed and presented to the client with detailed analysis, and if necessary – we will provide recommendations to mitigate any potential risk of UXO on your project.
