Waste Management Licence Exemptions

Under Waste Management Licencing Regulations 1994 there is a whole range of exemptions from the requirement to hold a Waste Management Licence. Depending on the activity being proposed it is possible to carry out these activities without a Waste Management Licence. This is a particularly good option if a client is trying to move into a new area and wishes to carry out field trials prior to expanding the operation. The regulations, which apply to some of the exemptions, has recently changed and become more complex. In any case they are often useful tools to allow expansion or gain quick approval for activities, which are not covered by the site’s Waste management Licence.
