Vincenty, Heres & Asociados (VHA) has been working with government and industrial clients to meet environmental challenges for more than 50 years. We have enjoyed an extensive professional relationship with numerous industrial clients in Puerto Rico, and are currently working on, or have recently completed, more than 50 projects in the Commonwealth.

A Full-Service Organization
The VHA team provides a full range of environmental consulting services -- from investigations, planning, and feasibility studies through permitting and project implementation. We have engineers and scientists with expertise in all facets of environmental compliance. Our staff is supported by in-house capabilities including computer systems for data processing; computer-assisted drafting, design and project management; and sampling and analytical equipment. A brief description of our principals` experience is provided as follows.

César M. Vincenty, P.E. has more than 30 years of experience in the environmental engineering field, during which he has concentrated on wastewater management for industry and the public sector. His projects have included design work; operations and maintenance of an award-winning, advanced industrial treatment facility with a capacity of just under 100,000 gpd; and the rehabilitation and operations assistance of several large regional facilities with flows between 3 mgd and 40 mgd.

Alfredo Heres Gonzalez, P.E., DEE has directed the planning design, and construction of more than two dozen wastewater collection, treatment, and disposal projects in Puerto Rico over the past 50 years. These completed projects range in size from less than 0.1 mgd to regional systems of more than 40 mgd. Among the consulting services he provides are feasibility studies and wastewater management plans, treatment plants, preparation of environmental impact statements, and engineering evaluation of special problems.

VHA`s goal is to find affordable solutions to our clients` environmental problems. We take an aggressive approach with regulatory agencies to win acceptance for solutions that protect the environment at a reasonable cost.

Association with Malcolm Pirnie, Inc.
Vincenty, Heres, & Asociados has an agreement of technical cooperation with the North American firm Malcolm Pirnie, Inc. MPI’s involvement in Puerto Rico goes back more than 50 years, when Engineer Malcolm Pirnie himself designed water supply facilities for the City of San Juan, including the Los Filtros WTP.

Malcolm Pirnie and VHA have collaborated on numerous projects over the years, and have achieved efficient and economical results in their work. Malcolm Pirnie supplements VHA with its staff of more than 1,300 experts in all disciplines required for the planning, design, and implementation of their work.
