Water Treatment Services
TOBIN offer a multidisciplinary design service to our customers in the area of water treatment process design from inception, to commissioning and including the asset management of existing water treatment infrastructure. With over 60 years experience in the field of water services infrastructure in Ireland, working alongside a large number of Local Authorities, our team of engineers and scientists have developed this engineering knowledge to create a single point of contact for all our Clients in the field of water treatment.
This service includes the process design of key treatment facilities such as impoundments, intake works and pumping stations, pre-treatment/conditioning units, clarification/settlement tanks, filtration systems, post treatment chemical conditioning, chlorination, fluoridation, clear water storage and the associated telemetry and SCADA systems to provide intelligent control across all of these assets.
We have continued to enhance our expertise over 60 years, in response to new legislative requirements, risk assessments (e.g., EPA Cryptosporidium Risk Assessment), Remedial Action Programmes and new and innovative technologies including sustainable and environmentally conscious work practices to reflect the market we serve.
Our success in the field of water treatment design is a result of the experience gained in working with our Clients across a wide range of treatment plant capacities from the small Group Water Scheme Treatment Plants typically dealing with less than 100m3/day to the larger Municipal Water Treatment Plants, such as Leixlip, which will provide almost 40% of Dublins’ water supply when it is expanded under a TOBIN Contract, and where up to 255Ml/day can be abstracted from the Liffey source.
