Sun Clock - Version 4K -Mapping Software

For maximum impact Sun Clock 4K has been designed for ultra-high definition screens (4K screens - 3840 x 2160 pixels) but Sun Clock can also be used on lower definition screens, such as for "Full HD" resolution screens (1920 x 1080 pixels).

RSS news feed

Optionally you can display a scrolling RSS news feed across the bottom of the screen. You can specify any RSS feed, such as the BBC Wordl news as in the above example above.

System requirements

Sun Clock is designed for Microsoft Windows 64-bit (7 and above - Windows 10 is recommended). Sun Clock has been designed either for ultra high definition screens (3840 x 2160 pixels) or for "Full HD" screens (1920 x 1080 pixels) though it will also run on lower definition displays. To use the full ultra high resolution data your computer requires 8Gb of RAM or more. If it has less the "Full HD" data is used. We do not advise using Sun Clock on computers with less than 4Gb of RAM. Sun Clock is a processor intensive program since it uses high-resolution graphics which are updated continuously.

No internet connection is required to run the program unless you want to use the RSS news feed. The Sun Clock 4K program and its data occupy approximately 410Mb.

To get the full benefit of a high resolution screen, in Windows Control Panel, under "Display", ensure that the scale is set to 100%.

Note that unlike eariler editions of Sun Clock, Sun Clock 4K is not designed to be used as a screen saver.
