TerraMath - Sensors for Education and Research Software
Sensors help us to collect data of our environment. They are the link between nature and our theoretical models / simulations of it. Sensors are a great way to learn about nature - independent of the age of the students. On one side live experience and measurement deepens the understanding of natural processes and their relationships to each other on the other side it promotes interest in technology! We design solutions and experiments for school classes, own educational programs and up to university research.
Today we live in an exciting time - sensors are for the first time - because of mass production - available for almost everyone.
We see the revolution in the consumer segment. These sensors we can use wherever and whenever we have an idea that it might be useful. Our brains are free from the burden of (extreme) high investments. Our goal is to bring these technologies to the environmental and / or earth science interested audience:
- Schools for a broader understanding of nature
- University lectures and research projects
- Farmers and others whose existence rely on the knowing about the environmental situation
Besides knowledge of the specifica of the sensors and signal conversion embedded programming skills are required. Dependend on the project scope we will take over these duties or teach them.

We were able to build up a wide range of working experience using different platforms during the last years. We measured rather simple things like pH or temperature but we measured on elephants and on the sea floor close to volcanic exhalations as well.
