ThreeDifyVersion GeoMine QuickPit -Rapid Open Pit Mine Design Software

SHARE
GeoMine QuickPit is an advanced open pit design software that enables rapid and efficient creation of pit designs for mining operations. It allows mine planners to develop comprehensive pit and dump layouts with ramp designs within minutes. The software features parametric and incremental pushback creation tools which facilitate the exploration of multiple design scenarios swiftly while offering a built-in real-time topography update to ensure practicality against current topography. QuickPit automates traditional design processes with a streamlined workflow using bench-toe contours and includes a reconciliation module that aligns designed pits with Lerchs-Grossmann or as-built pits. It offers extensive flexibility for customization through its Visual Formula Editor, supports multiple bench types, provides comprehensive pit and dump creation capabilities, including auto-clipping against active topography, and includes a powerful parametric designer for coal or seam type deposits. Ultimately, QuickPit supports a persistent environment allowing recovery of past designs and provides tools for cost analysis, pit reserve reporting, and export options to formats like DXF or CSV.

GeoMine QuickPit (QuickPit) is an advanced open pit design software for rapid pit design. QuickPit allows a mine planner to build a complete pit or dump design with ramps in minutes. Its parametric and incremental pushback/dump creation tools, combined with unlimited undo/redo, allow the mine planner to evaluate multiple designs and plans in the shortest time possible. Furthermore, QuickPit’s built-in real-time topography update means there is no longer the fear that your final pit design may not be practical (which can only be found when you clip the design against the active topography at the end of your design cycle).

QuickPit stands out by offering a greatly simplified workflow that automates the traditional pen-and-paper pit design process using bench-toe contours. Furthermore, it includes a unique reconciliation module for comparing and reconciling practical pit designs with the Lerchs-Grossmann pit or the as-built pit.

Pushback Submodule:

Creates pushback increments by projecting a base contour up or down; allows the pit slope angle of each increment to vary by sectors and by levels or by rock types. Each push-back increment automatically updates the active topography.

Pushbacks are auto-clipped against the active topography and by user-defined property lines, if any.

Supports single, double, and triple benches or a combination of the three bench types.

Ramp Submodule:

Creates multiple complete or partial in-pit ramps with multiple access points. Quickly conducts a cost analysis for alternative ramp configurations.

Dump Submodule:

Creates dump(s) anywhere, including in mined-out areas, and calculates dump volume(s).

Dumps are auto-clipped against the active topography and by user-defined property lines, if any.

Parametric Designer for GSM models:

Auto-generate pit designs by margin ranking Gridded Seam Models (for coal or seam type deposits), Features a set of Parametric Design tools for margin ranked pits.

Parametric designs are auto-clipped against the active topography.

Note: this module requires a separate GSM Pit Designer license.

Pit Reconciliation:

Compares and reconciles any pit design with the Lerchs-Grossmann pit or the as-built pit to show the design variance.

Pit Reserve Reporter and Exporter:

Generates bench-by-bench reserve report; Exports pit designs to DXF or CSV files.
