The RBI API 581 modules allow the implementation of the RBI API 581 Recommended Practice for Pressure Vessels and Piping (RBI Pressure System® module), Atmospheric Storage Tanks (RBI Atmospheric Storage Tank® module) and Pressure Relief Devices (RBI Pressure Relief Device® module) to achieve a long-term fully optimized inspection strategy adapted to the targeted asset and its precise operating conditions.

Damage assessment
- Screening of 74 potential damages triggered by the design, process conditions and fluids described by the user
- Assessment result audit capacities with algorithm display for full understanding, transparency and knowledge transmission.
Risk assessment
- Calculation of the kinetics of the potential damages
- Calculation of the affected impact area results (in square meters and dollars)
- Calculation of the Probability and the Consequence of Failure.
- Generation of a time-based risk matrix, with the element`s level of risk displayed in the Asset Register breakdown
Inspection Strategy
- Construction of the inspection strategy optimization based on the risk target defined by the user thanks to a set of inspection strategy deadlines associated to efficiency levels
- Generation of a detailed inspection plan with dates, resources, CMLs, ...
Addition of the following functionalities:
- Specific components (Courses & Bottom)
- Specific Damage Mechanisms for Tank Bottoms to be able to take into account the specificities of the contact with the soil
- Specific data regarding pollution assessments and linked to dike areas
It is to be noted that Tank Roofs are not taken into account in the API 581, but can be managed in the software (tasks, scheduling, HSE & Integrity,...).
