Version ZondVMD1d -FDEM Sounding with Vertical Magnetic Source Dipole 1D Data Interpretation Software
ZondVMD1d is designed for interpretation of the results of field measurement along the profiles by method of frequency-distance electroprospecting soundings with vertical magnetic dipole (in frequency range 1-500kHz).
This technique has been created to study the section with difficult surface conditions for grounding of the electrodes (deserts, rocky surface, permafrost, glaciers, etc.). The advantage of this technique is the possibility to carry out field surveys during the winter time.
During the field measurement, transmitting airloop is usually fixed while receiving airloop changes distance from transmitting loop, to change the depth of investigation. Field measurements usually include:
- Hz/Hr – the ratio of vertical magnetic field to the radial one;
- Hz.
The depth of investigation depends on the distance between transmitting and receiving loops, as well as the lowest frequency of investigation.
