    Contaminated groundwater sites worldwide are engaged in regular sampling of monitoring wells at a typical cost of $1,500 per well-sampling event. On most sites, many wells are redundant or geostatistically insignificant and can be decommissioned.
    EVS-PRO and MVS`s Well Decommission module analyses all available data and quantifies the impact on site assessment quality associated with removing each well. The impact of removing a well is quantified in terms of its impact on the geostatistical plume extent.
    During remediation plumes are shrinking and may drift. This can necessitate decommissioning of some wells and adding new wells. C Tech`s well decommissioning and DrillGuide© technology provide the tools to properly monitor and guide the remediation efforts at the lowest possible cost.

    Groundwater and Solute Transport modeling is a sub discipline of environmental sciences with unique needs. Modeling has long utilized 3D simulations, but the ability to visualize the results has lagged far behind the simulation technology. EVS-PRO and MVS have long offered professional level presentation tools worthy of the current state-of-the-art in modeling, and EnterVol now opens that door to GIS professionals around the world. Visualization of groundwater and solute transport modeling results can be performed from third party modeling systems such as USGS MODFLOW, MT3D, GMS©, Groundwater Vistas and Visual MODFLOW© using C Tech’s tools to convert these modeling outputs into EFF format. In conjunction with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and IT Group, C Tech performed the visualization and animation of the output from a Groundwater Vistas MODFLOW and MT3D99 simulation of a large industrial complex in the central valley area of California.  This site exhibits highly channelized flow which is evidenced by the flow paths. Note that flow in the lower aquifer crosses underneath the upper channels at about 30 degrees!
