16 Hour Incident Command Courses
The Incident Command System (ICS) course developed by HAZ-MATTERS provides an overview of the ICS model to enable personnel to operate efficiently within the system during an incident or event. The course provides a thorough level of understanding of ICS to employees who become engaged in emergency management activities throughout a variety of situations. The 2-day course is based on the original FEMA model for ICS 100/ICS 200 that is the basis of all current ICS courses in Canada and North America. Our course has been enhanced with personal situations and responses and continues to focus on Real-Life understanding that comes from Real-Life hands-on experience.
Our course is unlike all the other general emergency manaqement courses out there - we know that most of our students are getting into much more precarious situations so we don`t train for one type of event but provide the tools to be used for ANY type of event. Whether you`re a seasoned veteran or new to the industry, we focus on clearly defined methods and protocols used by responders internationally to ensure that personnel operate in the safest possible manner in environments that include:
- Hazardous materials events with known and unknown compounds
- Clandestine drug labs
- Oil spills or from pipeline releases on water or land
- Motor vehicle scenes
- Natural Disasters and Fire
