This four-day lead certification course focuses on removal and encapsulation of lead-based paint and covers the training guidelines established by HUD for those who supervise or oversee projects where lead-based paint is disturbed.
This four-day training course trains supervisors who oversee lead abatement projects This course follows the EPA Model Curriculum and includes extensive hands-on activities and demonstrations.
Topics covered: Background information on lead-based paint, identification, health effects, controlling hazards, setup and abatement methods, personal protection, exposure monitoring, disposal, laws and regulations, legal and insurance issues, project management, and cost estimation.
Respirator fit testing is available for an additional charge.

licensure requirements:
IDPH supervisor licensure requirements: ONE year experience as a licensed lead-based paint abatement worker; or TWO years experience in a related field (e.g., lead, asbestos, or environmental remediation work) or the building trades. View all requirements and application here.
