Exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials is a major concern to organizations and employees, particularly for those who respond to medical incidents. This course provides an overview of the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens standard requirements applicable to emergency response personnel in office and manufacturing environments.

You will learn how to control exposure to bloodborne pathogens, procedures to follow in the event of exposure, and how to minimize the chances of contracting HIV, HCV, and HBV by using appropriate exposure controls.
At the conclusion of the training, the student will be able to:
- Describe bloodborne pathogens and how they are transmitted
- Control your exposure to bloodborne pathogens
- Apply appropriate procedures in the event of an exposure incident
