Driver Training – ENFORM General Oilfield Driver Improvement (GODI)
This one-day course is intended for oilfield truck drivers operating vehicles with GVW of 4500 kilograms and over. It is approved and certified by Enform, which is the training, certification and health and safety services arm of the upstream petroleum industry, owned, directed and partially funded by six upstream petroleum industry trade associations.

- Defensive driving skills
- Professional driving attitude
- Regulations and policies
- National safety code requirements
- Proper vehicle inspection
- Securing of loads
- Off-highway driving techniques
- Road conditions and hazards
Also included are non-driving skills such as map reading, hand signals, vehicle equipment operations, load securement and tire-chain installation.
This course is recognized by Alberta Transportation Safety Board and achievement of a test score of 80% or greater can reduce three demerit points from an operator’s license in that province.
