Driver Training – ENFORM Light-Duty Vehicle (LDV)
This one-day course provides training for personnel that drive light-duty trucks, such as pick-ups, cars and hotshot units to and from field locations. It is approved and certified by Enform, which is the training, certification and health and safety services arm of the upstream petroleum industry, owned, directed and partially funded by six upstream petroleum industry trade associations.
Designed to reduce company vehicle accidents, it covers:
- Defensive driving skills
- Professional driver attitude
- Safe vehicle operation
- Safety and survival equipment
- Driving practices for off-highway and adverse conditions
Also included are non-driving skills (map reading, hand signals, vehicle equipment operations, load securement, and tire chain installation).
This course is recognized by Alberta Transportation Safety Board and achievement of a test score of 80% or greater can reduce three demerit points from an operator’s license in that province.
