Emergency Response Technician Level III Annual Refresher (8-Hours)
Employees who are trained as Hazardous Materials Technicians Level III are required to complete an annual refresher training. Per paragraph (q)(6)(iii) of this section: “Employees (sic) shall receive annual refresher training of sufficient content and duration to maintain their competencies.”. This Instructor-Led training course provides the necessary hours and training to meet this requirement. Students complete a review of content presented in the original course, receive information on changes and updates in the last 12-months and participate in group exercises and review case studies designed to challenge and engage the employee.
All Technicians will participate in a Dress Out exercise, review decontamination procedures as well as the different levels of protection and appropriate PPE. To meet the certification requirements, each student MUST bring a copy of their company Safety Plan and complete a review with a certified Instructor to insure understanding and competency. At the conclusion of this course, students must pass a certification exam. Upon successful completion (70% or better) students are issued a Certificate of Completion (suitable for framing) and a wallet identification card.
