MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms)
The Work at Height Regulations 2005 require employers to ensure any employees who work at height are adequately trained. These regulations apply where there is a risk of injury due to falling. During 2007/8, 58 workers died after falling from height, increasing 12% on the previous year. Failure to comply may lead to fines or prosecution. Providing operator training helps establish an active safety culture amongst your employees. Accidents, and their costs, will reduce considerably. Your employees will feel safer in their work, improving productivity and staff morale. There are three levels available: Novice 3-5 days Intermediate 2-3 days Refresher/Conversion 1 day Course content is 75 per cent practical training.
