First Aid Training
By law, your designated First Aiders must hold Health and Safety Executive (HSE) approved qualifications. This course ensures you, and your business, are covered at your facilities under HSE regulations.
There are two courses available:
One-day Emergency First Aid at Work course- covers low risk businesses such as office and retail
Three-day First Aid at Work course- covers medium to high-risk businesses such as construction and manufacturing
Learning outcomes:
STA accredited First Aid at Work qualification
Awareness of all First Aid at Work legislation
Skills and confidence to deal with any First Aid at Work situation
Manual Handling and Safety Awareness
The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 requires you to provide whatever information, instruction, training and supervision necessary to ensure the health and safety of your employees.
Accidents at work kill over 200 people every year, and injure over one million.
Failure to comply may lead to fines or prosecution.

One-day course, involving 75 percent practical training.
Course focuses on the causes and prevention of MSDs (musculoskeletal disorders) a common type of workplace injury.

The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998 require employers to remove or control risks in the use of equipment. You must provide adequate information, instruction and training to employees before they use equipment.

MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms)
The Work at Height Regulations 2005 require employers to ensure any employees who work at height are adequately trained. These regulations apply where there is a risk of injury due to falling.
During 2007/8, 58 workers died after falling from height, increasing 12% on the previous year.

Around 10% of accidents involving lift trucks are caused by a lack of operator training.
