Respiratory Protection Training Online
As part of a complete Respiratory Program ALL employees who wear respirators are required to have instruction in the use and proper care of respirators.
- Primary Readers: Respirator users
- Secondary Readers: Supervisors, ESH personnel
Respiratory Protection Training provides coverage of the training required by OSHA including: Types of respirators and when to use them, capabilities and limitations of respirators, medical requirements for using respirators, how to fit-test and leak-test respirators, care and maintenance of respirators, and the typical contents of a written respiratory protection program. After taking this course, you will be aware of:
- Types of respirators and when to use them
- Capabilities and limitations of respirators
- Medical requirements for using respirators
- How to fit test and leak test respirators
- Care and maintenance of respirators
Completion Instructions, Requirements, and Checklist
Upon successful completion of the online exam, students will receive a certification (suitable for framing) as well as a wallet card for training documentation as required by OSHA standards.
- Credit Education Units: This course qualifies for 0.5 American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) Credit Education Units (CEU’s).
