Rutgers Discharge Prevention Program Training (Date TBD)
The NJ Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) oversees implementation of the Discharges of Petroleum and Other Hazardous Substances (DPHS) rules (N.J.A.C. 7:1E et seq.) that impact major facilities throughout the State. As part of these regulations, major facilities are required to prepare, submit and update Discharge Prevention Containment and Countermeasure (DPCC) plans and Discharge Cleanup and Removal (DCR) plans with the NJDEP. This one-day workshop will provide guidance on: preparing updates to current DPCC and DCR plans steps to ensure compliance with the plans and NJDEP rules a discussion of the federal Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) 'sister' program, and how discharges will be addressed under the new Remediation of Contaminated Site rule to be adopted this year
