Tunnel Entry and Emergency Procedures Training

• Better planning for tunnel entry and preparedness in emergencies, to help keep you and others around you safe.

• The avoidance of serious injury and major harm to employees and evidence of assessment and qualifications towards tunnel entry competence of employees.
• Employees who feel they can make a greater contribution to the workplace and who feel their employer has made an investment in their future.

• Legislation relevant to tunnel entry/safety.
• Hazards, risk assessment and risk controls associated with tunnel entry.
• Selection of equipment/safety equipment.
• Emergency self-rescue procedures.

• Learners attending the course should bring their own safety footwear, waterproof clothing, high visibility vest/clothing, hard hat and working gloves for the practical exercises. We have a selection of harnesses but please bring your own harness if you wish.
• Learners may also wish to bring knee pads if they have them available, they are not essential but there may be a limited amount of kneeling undertaken in the practical exercises.
• Learners can bring with them any materials used by their own employer, copies of risk assessments or permits to work so that they can see how their materials fit in to the context of the training.
