WHMIS Training

Our WHMIS program is offered both as a half day awareness/refresher course and as a 2 day Train the Trainer course. Our awareness/refresher course is offered through our public open registration or as an onsite company specific program. Our public open registration course is an awareness course that focuses on the basics of WHMIS. We cover labeling, MSDS, identification of hazards, the WHMIS symbols, responsibilities, exemptions, and much more. The structure of this course is such that the student learns in an open environment while having fun.

The onsite program is our most popular program as it allows the students to have hands on instruction specific to their products, the hazards, and their work environment. We customize this program so that students can focus on the controlled products they work with or are in proximity to on a day to day basis. We tour their workplace completing exercises on labeling, the MSDS management system, the hazards that they can be exposed to, procedures to follow in case of an incident, etc. We cover all of the basic necessities of WHMIS awareness and more.

The student will receive a WHMIS certificate upon completion of the program that meets Occupational Health and Safety requirements as well as WorksafeBC.
